D&RGW Gondolas 1960 - 1993

Rio Grande used a lot of gondola both on the Narrow Gauge and Standard guages lines.  The car with itsopen-topped was used for transporting loose bulk materials. High side variants carried coal while low side varaints gondolas such high-density cargos as steel coils the Geneva Steel mill, or of bulky items like ore.

The DRGW roster information below has not been updated since 1999 by Jim Eager.  If you know of the current despostion of a car listed below or you spot missing, inaccurate data, have model suggestion or a picture for any Rio Grande gondolas we'd love to see & hear about it.
